2016 Development Finance Agenda Forum
Venue: UCT Graduate School of Business
Date: 14 March 2016
You are cordially invited to attend this year’s Development Finance Agenda and Presidential Forum which is organised by the UCT Graduate School of Business in partnership with the Africagrowth Institute and the Chartered Institute of Development Finance. The theme of the forum will be: Financing economic development in the Townships: Challenges and opportunities
The aim of the Forum is to bring together development finance practitioners, students and institutions working in the development finance space to discuss the potential contribution of township economies to the wider and more formal South Africa’s economy. At a case level, the question of how can we turn Alexandra Township into Sandton City in the next 30 year is very relevant. The forum will examine innovative strategies aimed at propelling and leapfrogging economic growth in the townships and poorer rural areas of South Africa to more formal and functioning modern economies.
